State of the art Solar Powered Fixed Wing UAV

  • VTOL (Vertical Take off and Landing)                                                                                              It will make our glider much more flexible and diverse in application, making it possible to easily access difficult terrains.

 

  • Flight time is a key hurdle with UAV, which is essentially limited to just few minutes, so, we will partner with the top research institutes to work with flexible, highest specific power  (power to weight ratio) and light weight GaAs solar cells. If we want to cover the entire India, monitoring by manual inspection and UAVs with low flight time will take decades to cover the entire region, so in the initial phase, with GaAs solar cells we expect to have at least 3-4 hrs of additional flight time and ultimately our aim is to run these UAVs 24/7 using solar energy.

  • Carbon fibre frame to make the whole system light weight that could significantly increase the payload capacity of the UAV. 

  • Collision Detection especially to make it more efficient and diverse for the cities.

  • Long range autonomous flight, so we can fix a particular region and get real time data of that region and take the required action.
